Well Brits Pub really did an outstanding job at the Parlour Soul Sessions 2/20/10. There was so much loveages in that room that it took a week for me to come down. Thank you all for your support of live ORIGINAL tunes. Danny and Andy went back to their home states with smiles that will last for some time to come. Thanks to Dave Burkart, who by the way is now part of vintage RAGGS, Shane Wiznewski (voted MVP) on bass,vocals and VIBE. Lora Copus revealed to everyone what I`ve known for years that she is not only a sweetheart but a formidable vocal talent.
Loren Wicklander supplied the sound and we are very grateful. The Metro`s road crew, Jazz. Butch and Brian Glapa provided the glue that reminded me of what made the Metro`s great. So many kind words that left your humble narrator with a HUGE lump in his throat. To my family and my brother Jimmy, you know how I feel about you guys. Don`t make me get all Barbara Walters on ya. To the original Daddy O, Doug Helm, I can`t thank you enough for your support and your guidance. Doug you are a godsend.
Last but not least to all of my peeps who came out and continue coming out.....thank you. Danny and Andy this was just the beginning of our renewed spark. We are already 6 tunes into the next CD.........

"The Parlour Soul Sessions" MINNEAPOLIS, MN, February 20, 2010
A one-night event celebrating the release of the new CD, “The Side of the Road” featuring Jody Hanks, Andy Gauthier and Danny Mangold.
Jody Hanks (vocals), Danny Mangold (guitar) and Andy Gauthier (drums) will be performing at Brits, located on Nicollet Mall between 11th & 12th streets across from Orchestra Hall.
This will mark the first time these old friends and former Metro All Star band members have performed together in over 20 years.
A talented ensemble of players including Dave Burkhart (guitar, vocals) and Shane Wisnewski (bass),with Lora Copus (Vocals) will round out the lineup as they perform songs from their new CD “The Side of the Road” along with selected "most requested" Metro favorites.
Showtime is 8pm, seating is limited.

It's finally here !! Oasis records did an incredible job with my new CD produced and co-written by my long time musical compadre, Danny Mangold. Judging from the response on Reverbnation.com, you guys love the samples...well, the actual CD came out better than expected...extremely high quality and still retaining the "live" vibe that Danny and I strive for. It made it to the Top 10 on their Rock charts in less than 2 weeks here in Seattle.
Before we start looking for distribution, we wanted to make it available to you guys first at a reduced price of $10.00 plus $2.50 for domestic shipping and handling.
Now...why are we are more in favor of an actual CD as opposed to a download at this point?? Good question.. It's because the CD looks great, made of recycled paper...even the plastic disc tray is made of recycled water bottles...and it just sounds better in a car CD player or home CD system rather than laptop speakers.
